Hi Everyone, I'm Deena. I am super excited to be part of a group and finally get the kick in the butt I've been needing to get back in to shape. I was always active growing up and played competitive sports through college, so I never really had to be over critical with what I was eating.
However, in the past couple of years, it seems my metabolism has slowed way down and unfortunately along with it came my motivation to really push myself with my workouts. I am definitely someone who feeds off of goals and accountability, so I am hoping this program will give me just the focus I need to achieve the results I desire!
The end is in sight...though I'm truly hoping it's really just the beginning!
Had one of my best weeks yet and can say that my pants are fitting a little looser.
But I am still not quite in to my "skinny" jeans so I am hoping to squeeze every last drop out of what's left of these next 2 weeks!!!
I was able to get a long walk and a run in outside last week and I am not sure if it was the fresh air or just the movement, but I definitely felt more energized.
Hoping I can keep that momentum going here through the final stretch!
Week 4 is here and I can't believe that we are halfway done with the program = ( .... I guess the good news is that there are still 4 more weeks left!
I had hoped to see a bit more results at this point, however, that just gives me even more incentive to keep tracking my diet and busting my butt at the gym. It's been really inspiring to see everyone in the group working so hard and I just hope I can keep this same intensity going after the Transformation is complete.
Week 2 was a little bit disappointing with regard to results, but the good news is there are 6 more weeks!
I feel like with a little diet tweaking and time, I will begin to see more progress and my numbers start to drop. Very excited to see what the next couple of week have in store!
With Week 1 in the books, I feel good that I saw some results, but nervous as for what lies ahead once the momentum and adrenaline high wears off. Not so much with regard to the exercise, as I think that is something I can stick to since it is scheduled in to my life, but more towards the diet.
Perhaps I took a cheat day too soon and now I'm craving the comfort and convenience of what was once my normal diet all over again. Hopefully, a few "clean" days get me right back on track. ...and of course some more results wouldn't hurt either = )
Looking forward to a successful Week 2!!
To be honest, I was a little bummed out the first part of prep week. Everyone came off the holiday rearing to go and I could sense everyone's excitement over the emails.
Meanwhile, I was home from work for 3 days with strep throat and fever ( I swear I don't usually look as miserable as I do in these pictures = ).
But I am starting to feel human again, and am looking forward to feeding off everyone's energy!! I will definitely say that the diet portion of the transformation is scaring me the most now that it's a reality!
I always ate relatively healthy, but I definitely let myself splurge more than I should. Right now my approach is to just try and plan ahead as much as possible and consistently keep the fridge filled with Paleo friendly options!!!
